Description: 1. Description and Function: The 74HC74 is a Dual D-type Positive Edge-triggered Flip-Flop Integrated Circuit (IC). It is designed as a versatile building block for sequential logic circuits, capable of storing one bit of data each. 2. Edge Triggering: This IC responds to a rising edge on the clock input (CLK) to change its state. When the clock transitions from low to high, the inputs (D and CLK) are sampled and used to set the new flip-flop outputs. 3. Data Inputs and Outputs: Each flip-flop within this IC features a data input pin (D), clock input pin (CLK), and two output pins - Q and Q'. The complement of each output is also available on its respective bar output (Q' and Q_). 4. Reset Functionality: This IC provides an asynchronous reset functionality through the Reset (PR) pin.
